KATE MARDEN

 Kate Marden is a master falconer with 12 years of experience. She is a successful business owner in Marin County specializing in animal care. Her work with birds of prey predates her years as a licensed falconer. Kate has worked in bird of prey interpretive programs at Renaissance Fairs, Historical Events, Scottish Games and schools for more than a decade. Kate and Jana have organized several California Hawing Club events.

                             JIM TIGAN                                                                

Jim Tigan has been a Master Falconer for 20 years. He has 30 years of falconry experience. While a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, he founded the world-famous Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center. He has lectured to groups and schools and gives private and group lessons to would-be falconers.  He is president of the California Hawking Club. 

JANA BARKLEY

 Jana Barkley, a General Falconer, is an experienced educator and lecturer. Her energy and enthusiasm for the sport of falconry has impressed her audiences. Jana specializes in helping the entertainment industry report accurately on falconry and birds of prey. She also helps Jim and Kate with Tactical Avian Predators.

MARTEN BENATAR

Marten Benatar is a General Falconer with a great love, respect and understanding for birds of prey and the art of falconry. He is a professional falconer, instructor and speaker. Marten has been working with Kate, Jana and Jim in and out of the class room, training and flying falcons and hawks for several years. He is a director of the California Hawking Club, edits the club’s newsletters, maintains the website and organizes the annual meet.
